花見友紀の「鉄道のある日常」

28日、衝撃的なニュースが入った。中田宏さんが横浜市長辞任を発表した。

中田さんといえば、横浜市の財政建て直しを積極的に取り組み、広告入りの玄関マットや封筒、横浜市営地下鉄のワンマン運転、黒字化、横浜市営バス路線の民間譲渡などを行ってきた。日本テレビ系列で放送されている土曜日朝のニュースショー「ウェークアップ!ぷらす」にもコメンテーターとして出演するなど、多方面で活躍した。僕は中田さんの登場を心待ちにしていた。

今後は地方分権推進のため自らが立ち上げた政治団体「首長連合」の活動に力を入れるそうだ。
