花見友紀の「鉄道のある日常」

今日はいつもより早く大学の授業が終わり、帰りに椎名町駅北口からアーケード街を抜けて、突き当りを右へ、要町方面へ6～7分ほど真っ直ぐ歩いたところにある千早フラワー公園に、大江戸線の12-000形の試作車「12-001」と「12-002」を見に行った。公園の奥の方にある金網の中に試作車はいた。





12-001号は車内見学可能だが、12-002は開放していない。



試作車は量産車とは違いステンレス製で、試験車両という意味合いからこの2両のみが製造された。1991（平成3）年の大江戸線開通直前に廃車されてこの公園に展示されている。



車内も試作車と量産車ではかなり違う。公園に来てから変わったなのか、座席は電車のものというより公園のベンチに近い木製だった。ドアの高さが量産車よりも10cm程低いように思えた。そのため通常の大江戸線には頭をかがむ程度で乗れたが、試作車は脚も曲げないと乗れなかった。


On the way home, I dropped into Chihaya Flower Park to see the prototype carriages of Bureau of Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation 12-000 Series, 12-001 and 12-002. From Shiinamachi station on Seibu Ikebukuro Line, it takes 6 or 7 minutes on foot. Going out of the arcade, turning right and going straight toward Kanamecho, the park stands on the right. I found the two beyond a wire fence.

I could see the interior of 12-001, but can't that of 12-002. As contrasted to the mass-production model made of aluminium, the prototypes are made of stainless steel. The two have been exhibited in the park since 1991.

The interior of 12-001 looks very different from that of the mass-production model. Its seatings may change to wooden ones. The doors look 10 centimetres/3.94 inches shorter than those of the mass-production model.
