花見友紀の「鉄道のある日常」

初めて仙台へ、JR東日本東北新幹線「はやて」に乗って行った。

東北新幹線は12月4日に盛岡駅～新青森駅間の延伸開業が迫っており、新青森行き列車の名前が「はやぶさ」に決まったため、「はやて」の名前が廃止されるのではと心配しており、延伸前にもう1度「はやて」に乗りたいと思っていた。しかし当分の間、E2系新幹線電車による新青森行き列車は「はやて」として運転されるそうだ。



ちょうど僕が東京駅の新幹線ホームに来ると、向かいのホームにデビュー当時の白色（クリーム10号）と緑色（緑14号）が復活した200系新幹線電車K47編成が上越新幹線の「たにがわ」として停まっていた。オリジナルカラーの200系を久しぶりに見られた。写真に収めるのは今回が初めて。




僕が乗ったのは7:56東京発の「はやて5号」。E2系+E3系の16両編成で、後10両のE2系新幹線電車は「ポケモン新幹線」のJ52編成。ピカチュウたちに出迎えられて、僕は指定の6号車の席に座る。よく見ると背もたれカバーにもピカチュウが描かれていた。

車内チャイムが響き渡る。「電車でGO!」で聴いて以来好きな曲で、心地よい気分になれる。英語のアナウンスを聴いて気がついたことが1つあった。最後の一言は、「電車でGO!」では「I wish your precious journey.」であったが、本物は「We wish your precious journey.」だった。

列車は大宮を発車してニューシャトル伊奈線と別れ、車窓に田園風景が広がり始めると、スピードを上げていよいよ本領発揮。栃木県に入ると森林が目立つようになり、宇都宮を過ぎるとトンネルが多くなる。列車はこのまま福島・宮城県へと入り、約1時間40分で仙台に着いた。

仙台駅では、ここでしか聴けない発車メロディがある。1曲30秒もある長い曲で、おそらく僕の知る限りでは「日本一長い発車メロディ」だと思う。


From 6th to 7th, I travelled to Sendai by Tohoku Shinkansen "Hayate".

Tohoku Shinkansen is being extended to Shin-aomori Station on December 4th. Because the new train's name, "Hayabusa", was announced, I've worried about that "Hayate" would finish its service, which made me go travelling with "Hayate" again. Though "Hayabusa" starts its regular service, the train by E2 Series keeps being in service as "Hayate".

As I came to the platform of Shinkansens at Tokyo Station, the original-coloured 200 Series K47 set was stopping as "Tanigawa" on Joetsu Shinkansen. It was the first time to photograph it for me.

I travelled on "Hayate 5", which consisted of 10-carriage E2 Series, which has a body livery of Pikachu and Pokémon characters, and 6-carriage E3 Series. My seating was in 11th carriage (carriage number 6 of E2 Series) and its headrest cover also has an illustration of Pikachu.

I like to listen to the melody before the announcement because It also was used on "Densha de Go!" video game.

I noticed the difference between the real announcement and that on the video game; the last part of it is a bit different. The video game one said "I wish your precious journey", but the real one is "We wish your precious journey".

After departing from Omiya Station, the train started to accelerate to the maximum speed, 275km/h. I saw the fields and rice fields over the train window. Passing Utsunomiya Station, Tohoku Shinkansen went through many tunnels.

About 1 hour and 40 minutes later, the train arrived at Sendai Station. It equips a special station jingle, which performs 30-second long. It is probably the longest one in Japan.
