花見友紀の「鉄道のある日常」

去年も言ったが、僕は大のウナギ好きである。

今年はウナギ好きには大変な夏になりそうだ。なぜなら、ウナギの価格が高騰しているからだ。その原因を解明するニュースが17日の「スーパーJチャンネル」で放送されていた。

番組によると、価格高騰の最大の原因は稚魚の不漁である。ウナギはまだ完全養殖が確立していないため、天然の稚魚に頼らざるを得ないのが現状である。

さらには日本だけでなく中国でもウナギの不漁が問題となっており、日本産・中国産共に価格が急上昇。遂には中国産のものの価格が日本産のものを上回るに至った。

そして、ウナギの稚魚は高値で取引されるため、密漁が相次いでいるというのだ。静岡県内の川では密漁のための道具が多数発見された。

スーパーでのウナギの蒲焼きの売値は、この1ヶ月で100円、お店で食べられるうな重の値段も100～200円値上がりしたという。牛丼チェーンの「吉野家」と「すき家」ではこの季節に「うな丼」を販売しているが、これらも去年より高い値段になっているという。

僕は夏だけでなくいつでもウナギを美味しく食べたいと願っているが、土用の丑の日が近づき、需要が高まるこの季節に価格の高騰。ウナギ好きには痛い問題と言ってよい。

This summer a big problem start to bother me, it's rise in the price of eel. A news show "Super J Channel" on 17th featured the reason.

According to the news, why the price is rising now is poor young fish catch. The full farm of eel hasn't succeeded and Japanese fully relies on the natural young fish.

Not only in Japan, but in China, the poor catch is big problem, too. The price of both Japanese and Chinese eels are rising. At the end, imported ones is more expensive than Japanese ones, usually imported ones are inexpensive in Japan.

Moreover, Due to the high-price trade in the market, the illegal fishing of eel is common. Along a river in Shizuoka Prefecture, many fishing tools are found.

At the supermarket the selling price of cooked eel is about 100-yen higher than last year, and the one of una-ju, the box of rice topped with sliced grilled eel and special sauce, is also up to 200-yen higher. Yoshinoya and Sukiya serves Una-don, the bowl of rice topped with eel, at higher price than last summer, too.

In my opinion, I really want to eat delicious eel every time. However, Though the eel season is coming soon, the raise of the price must be the big problem for eel lover.
