花見友紀の「鉄道のある日常」

2月23日、2023（令和5）年1月～3月というわずかな期間に見られた西武2000系電車の「チョコバナナ編成」がこの日限定で団体臨時列車として拝島線で復活した。

2023（令和5）年1月から前年の西武鉄道の会社設立110周年を記念して武蔵野鉄道デハ5560形電車をイメージした茶色のラッピングを纏う2069Fは、通常時は8両編成で池袋線で運行されている。この時から、単独での8両編成のほか、標準色である西武イエローに塗装された2両編成を増結した10両編成で走ることもあった。その増結された2両編成が当時池袋線に在籍していた2463Fだった。10両編成はその色使いから「チョコバナナ編成」と呼ばれた。

しかし、同年3月に2463Fが新宿線へ転属。これによりわずか2カ月程度しか「チョコバナナ編成」を見ることができなかった。

残念ながら僕はその当時に、「チョコバナナ編成」を撮影することができなかった。

約2年ぶりに拝島線で団体専用の臨時列車として復活した「チョコバナナ編成」は、2463Fがパンタグラフと搭載したクモハ2463号車が先頭車になる形で飯能方に増結されていたことから、この日もその当時と同じ、池袋線では飯能方に当たる西武新宿方に同編成を増結して走った。

列車は、玉川上水車両基地で撮影会を行った後、11:45頃に同車両基地を出発。一旦拝島方面に向かった後、そこから折り返して小川駅へ、再び進行方向を変えて玉川上水車両基地へ戻るというルートで運行された。

僕は東大和市駅～小川駅間でカメラを構えた。陽光の当たり方からクモハ2463号車の前面が暗くなってしまったが、編成全体を収められた。


On February 23rd, I went to photograph a 10-carriage set consisting of Seibu 2000 Series 2463F and 2069F sets on Seibu Haijima Line. Because of their body colours, the set was called "chocolate-covered banana".

The 8-carriage 2069F set has had the special brown-coloured body livery for the 110th anniversary of Seibu Railway, and the more 2 carriages in the regular yellow-coloured livery were sometimes coupled.

The 10-carriage set was in service on the Ikebukuro Line in 2023. However, it ran only for about two months because 2463F set moved to Shinjuku Line.

I couldn't shoot the set when the two were in service on Ikebukuro Line.

The sets were coupled in the same order on Ikebukuro Line. 2463F set came to the first two carriages and 2069F did the last eight as it headed to Seibu-shinjuku.

I shot the train at a crossing between Higashi-yamatoshi Station and Ogawa Station. Before the train came to me from a railyard near Tamagawa-josui Station, it went toward Haijima once. Then, it changed its direction and came.

I first succeeded in photographing the two sets coupled.
