As of 8/28/08MY BIRTH PLANPrior to Active Labor-I’d like to walk.-I’d like to move around and change positions frequently.-I’d like to drink fluids during early labor.Labor-I’d like the lights to be kept low.-I’d like these people supporting me in labor: my husband and my mother-I’d like my family to take photos or video my baby during labor.Pain Control-I’d like to use IV pain medication during labor.-I’d like to have an epidural for pain relief.Delivery-I’d like my baby to be placed upon my abdomen after he is born.-I’d like my husband to cut the cord.Episiotomy-I’d prefer not to have an episiotomy unless absolutely needed.-I’d like guidance when pushing to help the perineum stretch.After delivery-I’d like to hold my baby while the placenta is delivered.-If my baby needs closer observation in the Nursery, I’d like my partner to go with him.-I’d like to feed my baby as soon as possible after delivery.-I’d like to stay for 48 hours after delivery.Feeding baby-I plan on breastfeeding my baby.Circumcision-I’d like my baby boy to be circumcised.
