I agree that not all episodes of avatar are automatically great. There are good, there are better and there are great, but none of them are bad. I hate when people complain about a certain scene or certain plan going on in the show. I feel like that was meant for the kids who this show was made for even though more adults love the show then kids probably. you have to remember this was a kids show put on a kids network. And I think if you didn't find that funny or you didn't see why things happened the way it happened then it must have been meant for the kids who are watching the show 2. The episodes where you said they didn't really add anything to the story. I believe they were there for the kids specifically because a lot of those episodes where about human interaction and how you should treat other people and other life lessons you would normally learn while growing up. If you look at these episodes through The Eyes of a kid then it would probably make more sense to you.
This show is really a masterpiece.
I think we all really know who is the best character in the whole series. Cabbage Man.
The fact that Aang hadn't been in the Avatar state the entire season made this ep hit really different and harder. Was worth the wait and the Avatar state never felt more powerful.
When Katara (in the movie) asks “What would you do if they took me” Sokka (show) would definitely say “Id help them take you”.
Oh man, why not have French audio with French subtitles? They both French audio and French subtitles available individually... but not together? :( I suppose one could try streaming the French audio version at the same time as the English audio version (muted) with French subtitles haha. EDIT: Can confirm. I have now tried the above method with episode 1. It worked fine and I was easily able to sync it up. The problem is that the subtitles in the English versions, especially when it comes to longer sentence, do not exactly match the words and sentence structure in the French version. It is close though, and certainly watchable if that episode is any indicator. Though not ideal.
Some didn't understand why Aang didn't destroy Ozai. But he was able to take away his power which was far worse.
My List of Everything Wrong with The Last Airbender 1. It's Aang (Aye-ng) not Auw-ng 2. In the series, Haru's a handsome teenager, not a little boy 3. In the series, Zuko was sexy. This guy doesn't fit the description. 4. It's Sokka (Sock-a) not Sock-a 5. Katara supposed to not look stupid, she makes sense in the series and is actually serious. 6. Iroh's supposed to be fat and happy 7. Wasn't Aang a tiny bit more playful and adventurous 8. The bending isn't fast enough like movements going with it.
God I had no idea about the Ung thing. I watched this film in Spanish years ago when my English wasn't so good, and in the translation all the names are right. Guess I owe those translators a big thank you.
I cant wait the first one was my favourite movie of all time.

I appreciate Book 1 even though it has (almost) no multi-episode arcs because of its placement at the beginning of the series. We got to see the main cast bond and grow in a variety of situations; this established Team Avatar even if the character development wasn't meticulously crafted. It increased the impact of the later, more narrative-driven seasons while building the world. However, I do agree the show would have been nowhere near as amazing if the episodic format had been maintained throughout the entire run.
They really need to revisit this movie, they missed so much.
