WATCH

I can only say: Oh my God, what a good film! I like it-it's one of the best films I have ever seen near Jurassic Park and others! Watch this film and you will be fascinated you can believe me! The way how it was made, how realistic. VERY VERY GOOD WORK to Mr Peter Jackson and his whole cast (Elijah Ian, Mc Kellen, Cate Blanchet, Liv Tyler, Ian Holm. and the crew and J.R.R Tolkien.

I'm not going to do a review simply because there's so many of both negative and positive opinions, that I can't really add much that hasn't already been said in either context. But to call this the worst movie as many seemed to have done? It seems like many users here are simply upset that at one stage, LOTR was above The Godfather in the ratings and had a hefty advantage at being number one. So naturally, being the biased idiots that most human beings are, people began voting it down and trying to use the worst of excuses in order to justify their unfair ratings. LOTR has 1,800 users who've rated it as a 1 / 10, whereas The Phantom Menace has 1,970.



Can you honestly tell me that it was voted down so badly simply because it's the worst movie of all time as opposed to a few fanatics being upset at seeing it as the #1 movie of all time as according to the IMDB users? Whether or not this is the greatest movie of all time depends on individual taste. If you're a fan of Tolkien, a fan of fantasy in general, or simply can appreciate hard work that's come together so well, you'd be hard pressed to actually find any fault or justifiably hate this movie. It's without a doubt the best movie in a long time (Note: I loved The Shawshank Redemption, and even though I love LOTR, TSR remains my #1.

To say it's undeserving of the praise it's gotten and that it's not worthy of being number one is simply idiotic. Face it. Is it harder to manipulate the audience's sympathies through actors being mopey and upset and getting an Oscar (ala American Beauty, or many of the possible nominees for this year's Oscars) or is it harder to create an entire believable world and to do it well? You have your Willows, and you have your Gladiator's and LOTR's.



Whether it's to your personal taste or not, whether you truly believe it's the number one film of all time, don't put the remarkable work of hard working actors and directors down simply because you'd rate it a seven instead of a ten. Don't vote it down simply because you want The Godfather to remain there, or you want Citizen Kane to climb up, or whatever. Instead. Recognise it for the masterpiece of its genre that it is, and judge it on its OWN merits, rather than comparing it to others and trying to justify your inexcusable hatred and bias.

This trilogy is the BEST ever. I love it ! Every time i watch those movies i realize that i'll never be bored to watch them again. Every thing is awesome from the story - till the screenplay,picture,makeup,fashion design and the EXCEPTIONAL actors that make those movies a cinematic MASTERPIECE! And now after 10 years remains just as good! From my point of view, i think Viggo Mortensen would have deserved an Oscar ( best actor ) for his role as Aragorn ( it fit's him like a glove. Congratulations to Peter Jackson and his entire team, for his achievement and i look forward to see the movie " The Hobitt.
