My husband and I had lunch with Mr.K and his wife, because Mr.K, who is my husband's ex-colleague, is leaving for overseas duty to Hong Kong next Sunday. Mr.K and my husband get along extremely well. Mr.K used often to stay at our home after drinking with my husband. As I hadn't seen Mr.K and his wife for more than ten years, there were a lot of things we caught up.
Actually, Mr.K left overseas duty to the U.S. instead of my husband 18 years ago. It meant my husband refused the important work order. Although he hated his job, it must have been tough decision. As I loved my job very much, I didn't understand how bitter his life was at all. Now, I realize I was a really bad wife... There is no "if" in our lives, but we talked about "if we went to the U.S. at the time..." It was fun to imagine another life. Don't worry! We've never regretted our decision. お気に入りの記事を「いいね！」で応援しよう
