My eldest daughter has lived alone for nearly four months. She has managed to do everything on her own; she has never got homesick. I realize she is much more independent than I thought. When my daughters were little, I always felt sorry for them because I often put my work ahead of them; I didn’t have enough time to take care of them. However, I come to think every cloud has silver lining; under those circumstances, even though my daughters were little, they had to deal with various things by themselves and they were getting tougher and tougher. When I was at the same age as my eldest daughter's, I couldn't think of living alone and always depended on my parents. In addition, I always depended on my husband after marriage.
