If the touch sensor suddenly stops responding on the ICONIA TAB A500

When I tried to operate the tablet to use it, nothing responded from the lock screen.

The power button and volume button respond, but the touch sensor doesn't respond at all, so it doesn't matter.

Since it was still Android Ver.3.0, I thought it was a bug in the OS, and when I connected the USB keyboard, I could put it in the home screen and operate it from the keyboard, so I upgraded to Ver.3.1. 



After upgrading to Ver.3.1, I restarted several times, but it doesn't respond at all.

I had no choice but to initialize it because of the reset button, but the initialization was meaningless and did not improve.

However, after updating to Ver.3.1, the USB mouse can be used, so the operation has become very easy.

When I contacted Acer's customer center, I received a reply saying repair for inspection confirmation.

So at the end I decided to empty the battery and see if it could be improved.

The big problem here is that the battery doesn't run down easily (* ´ ▽ ｀ *) ノ

I'm usually happy, but I used it considering how quickly the battery could be used up when I wanted to check it quickly (* ≧ m ≦) = 3

Even if you think that the battery has run out, you can start it again for about 1 to 2 minutes, so if you restart it many times, the startup time will gradually decrease.

At the end, it expired in 5 seconds after starting, and I stopped restarting.

I left it overnight with the power turned off, and when I charged it the next day and started it, it
started to react perfectly.

I don't know what caused it, but after that, there is no problem with restarting 10 times or more and the operation and installation of various apps.
