【亜】The story of Parakeet1

for Original version in Japanese click HERE.

JUNE2005

A story occured to me while I was having a bath deep in the night, recently.

The story which is composed in the metaphorical phrases to describe my own past, current and a little bit of future on love-relationships.

In the story, I am a "talking *parakeet "(*a kind of bird called INKO) and all others are humans.

All the names in the story are fictitious and of course this is not the full story but a summary.

I guess that each reader has each different complehension level in reading this.

I feel as though I can create some comprehension test about these metaphorical expressions.
(e.g. [Q.sent back to its country of origin] = [A.get deported] )

I will be impressed if there happens to be someone who could comprehend all these metahors with precision!

It's so much fun to play with words.

Excuse my child's diary-like speaking style.

[The story of talking parakeet]
シュタイフ HANSI paraakeetインコ

In some pet shop in Japan.
There was a "talking parakeet" for sale.

One day, the parakeet, still young, got exported to England.

At Heathrow airport in London, while they were unlording the air cargo, the parakeet flew out of a birdcage window which accidentaly got opened.

The parakeet flew to many different places.

Soon after, the parakeet got picked up by a human called Bob.

Bob was a bad person, but very smart and a keen learner.

Bob taught the parakeet about various different countries and regions such as England, America and Europe, Africa, Caribbean and China.

Bob taught the parakeet both god and bad things.

The parakeet watched many of the good and bad things.

But the many bad things Bob was doing made the parakeet used to them.

While Bob was being gentle to the parakeet, she used to always feel nervous about his badness.

Bob often left the parakeet loose.

As Bob was properly looking after the parakeet, she always used to come back to Bob whenever and whichever the town she flew to.

Bob was a father figure for the parakeet.

One day, the parakeet just back from her flying-trip, met John who was Bob's friend.

John was actually the person who found the parakeet at first on the day Bob picked her up.

John moved into Bob's house while the parakeet was absent from the house.

John devoted a lot of attention to the returned parakeet.

Since around the time the parakeet came back, Bob had become less interested in looking after her.

John started secretly feeding the parakeet while Bob was away from the house.

Gradually, the parakeet developed the feeling for wanting to be owned by John.

John sometimes took the parakeet to the outside with him.

But when he did, the parakeet used to get a little restless feeling some kind of guilt for Bob.

But, Bob had a big dark secret.

Having felt sorry for the parakeet who knew nothing, John developed more feeling for her and wanted her.

Then, finally John disclosed the real story to the parakeet, making sure that she would never tell Bob about it.

[Bob was keeping another bird in the secret room while the parakeet was away...

He travelled to a fa-away country taking that secret bird with him, and on the way back he got found out that he had been up to something bad, and they took the bird away from him.

Then the bird was sent back to her country of origin within the very same day...]

Bob kept it as a secret to the parakeet all the time.

The parakeet was shocked.

The parakeet was too shocked to keep her mouth shut, despite being told by John not to tell Bob, she could not help releasing it to Bob.

The talking parakeet, still a child, was too immature to tell a smart lie to Bob and Bob revealed straight away that John had informed the parakeet.

Angry Bob kicked John out of the house.

John took the parakeet with him when he was leaving.
