It was difficult being in front of this movie. I am particularly nauseated by the reviewers of who claim "it's the hit of the Fall season. These people are paid reviewers with no pride. Without being insulting, I would say it's an OK movie for up to 12 yr olds. 28 million budget? Maybe 28,000. On second though, they had to pay for the "big-Stars. Actually, there was something positive about this movie. it actually made Sarah Jessica Parker look attractive in her makeup and costume although you could still tell it was her. There's a clue in this movie why Americans are dumbed-down and why someone like Trump is able to compete for the presidency.

I use to own Hocus Pocus on video during the nineties, and watch it every time it was Halloween. The movie is very enjoyable: fun, scary, as well as entertaining. As a child, the movie was pretty terrifying, and this is what makes Hocus Pocus such a fine movie considering it's a Disney one. Like I said, the movie was a terrifying one; I mean, the witches were pretty scary. It were those witches that made this movie a success - the witches were brilliant right the way throughout. There's nothing the witches could've done any better. The rest of the characters were also impressive. I really liked the "talking" cat. Each of those recurring characters offered something to the movie - you could just tell. It's a great Disney movie to watch especially during the Halloween season. I'm surprised there hasn't been a sequel especially after there were talks of being one ever since Hocus Pocus was released. Also, I'm actually surprised it was released so soon into the nineties because I thought a movie like that would come out a lot later or something.

Good fun movie. pop corn, drink. witches were great characters...
This movie is my childhood. I suppose that's why I cannot give it any less than 10 stars. The movie itself has some cheesy lines and poor acting. However, it represents the 90s so well and always makes me feel good.
