I really can't understand why everyone is calling this things like "the best movie ever" the best comic book movie ever" etc. br>
This movie was mediocre. I can only figure that people are giving rave reviews because of Heath Ledger's untimely death. It's the same thing that happened when Kurt Kobain died. While I agree that it is tragic that Ledger passed away, that doesn't make him the greatest actor of all time. Nor does it make his performance in this movie better than it was. Ledger's Joker was O.K. I found his mannerisms distracting and annoying. He didn't bring all this dimension to the character like everyone is saying because the Joker is a one-dimensional villain. I don't really understand what's so exciting about it, or deep, or dark, or revolutionary.

Christian Bale's weird voice thing was ridiculous, distracting, and obnoxious.

The plot was honestly, kind of boring. My boyfriend fell asleep and he is a total comic book nerd.

The Dark Knight has a 9.5 out of 10 rating on IMDb. Sin City has an 8.4 out of 10. That's completely insane. Sin City was a phenomenal comic book movie. The Dark Knight is not even worth seeing in the theater.

Don't let all the hype fool you. Think for yourself and form your own opinion.

This is by far the best movie I have seen this year and possibly of the last few years. By the trailers you can probably guess the reason Joker. Heath Ledger was 10 million times better as the Joker than Jack Nicholson was. There were so many times in the movie when he was hysterical and the crowd laughed, but other times he was soooo creepy and really demented. Not only was Heath Ledger great but also Christian Bale, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman were fantastic. The only person I left out of the mix was Aaron Eckhart. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent was just as amazing (defiantly not as good as The Joker) but still, amazing. For everyone who should already know, either by the trailer, or from past knowledge of Batman Forever (the third Batman movie) Harvey Dent turns into Two-Face. Unfortunately the transformation does occur until 1:45 into the movie. There would only be one complaint I had of the movie. One, the return of The Scarecrow as a semi-good guy was completely unnecessary. It doesn't take away from the value of the movie, but it's not needed. Overall it was great. 10 out of 10 stars/ A. br>
P.S. Not, Not, Not recommended for kids under 13 years old because of the Joker.

The movie captures everything right about the mystery,the detective work, the story and etc. the amazing performance of Heath ledger as The Clown Prince of Crime is definitely not a miss and even a better performance as Christian Bale as the Dark Knight himself(the voice that is)

the odd thing is that the person reading this review,managed to free time to read the review but now watch this masterpiece of a movie,huh.
