brief=The story begins as "Don" Vito Corleone, the head of a New York Mafia "family", oversees his daughters wedding with his wife Carmela. His beloved son Michael has just come home from the war, but does not intend to become part of his fathers business. Through Michaels life the nature of the family business becomes clear. The business of the family is just like the head of the family, kind and benevolent to those who give respect, but given to ruthless violence whenever anything stands against the good of the family. Don Vito lives his life in the way of the old country, but times are changing and some dont want to follow the old ways and look out for community and "family". An up and coming rival of the Corleone family wants to start selling drugs in New York, and needs the Dons influence to further his plan. The clash of the Dons fading old world values and the new ways will demand a terrible price, especially from Michael, all for the sake of the family

One of the best movies I have ever see, and I love it everything about this movie. Nothing in this movie is too much, every scene in the movie is perfect. The movie is with best cast ever, best directing, good story. It is about crime, family and their relationship. The best thing about it is that movie don't have any flaw. The best way to describe it is with word MASTERPIECE. When movie is in parts I, II. often only first part is good and others bad, but it is not case with this movie. It's 40 years old movie, and still one of the best, I thing that information tells a lot. Don't miss this movie, because most of you will watch it again and again. :D.

Forget special effects, ignore high pitched whines and scenes of unreal blood and gore, this is what movie-making is really about.

Top notch acting by all key players - Brando, Pacino, and the awesome cast. A haunting music score that reverberates in your mind through the years. A screenplay that never lets up. And a rollicking great story.

Nothing can take away from the impact of the dead stallion in the movie producer's bed. Or the simple tension evident in Pacino's demeanour during the famous dinner with Salozzo.

I must have watched this movie over a hundred times. You know what, I'll probably see it a few score times more. This one is never going to be topped.

Extraordinary.
