Mothers are more likely to coo at their babies, while fathers address them more like small adults - but both approaches help children learn, a study suggests. 母親は乳児に対してやさしく語りかける傾向にあり、父親は小さな大人のように話しかける傾向がある。どちらのアプローチも子供が学ぶことを助ける、研究で判明。  Scientists at Washington State University used speech recognition software to analyse differences in parents' speech patterns. ワシントン州立大学の科学者チームは両親の会話パターンの違いを分析するため会話認識ソフトウエアを使用した。  Mothers' "baby talk" is believed to promote bonding. 母親の「ベビートーク」は心のふれあいを促進すると思われている。  But fathers, who use a more adult tone with babies, may provide a "bridge" to the outside world, the researchers say. しかし、乳児に対して大人のような言葉を使う父親は外の世界への「架け橋」を与える、と研究チームは語った。
