This movie made me feel sick to my stomach

When I wanna watch a movie buuuuut I dont REALLY wanna watch a movie.

I also noticed at the beginning of the movie when Dani was laying on either the couch or her bed that there was a huge painting of a bear above her. I just thought that was crazy since her boyfriend was put into a bear at the end.

Just rented this movie and was totally enthralled from start to finish. Like holy shit man. DAMN.

I completely disagree with your opinion on the setup. It makes her in need of a community. I definitely thought it WAS a compelling story, but to each their own.

Of all the movies to see with a parent in theaters, this had to be one of them.

This is so perfect. They did an amazing job. Just that one word, family sends her on a spiral. And the visuals were spot on.

This. this got to me. I used to live and work at a place that promised to train me and get me to the top, they are respectable people so I blindly followed everything they said. It's just. I worked everyday, 7 days a week, started working at 6:00 am and would usually be done around 10 pm. sometimes I worked to 1 in the night. They talked to me as if I had no basic human rights and it only got worse. I didn't have much confidence to begin with, it didn't take long before I honestly believed what they said, like you don't have any needs and We do so much for you giving you this opportunity. The opportunity never came. I wasn't able to get out of there myself because they worked me so hard that I didn't have much contact with the outside world. I wasn't even ALLOWED to LEAVE the place without their permission. Believe it or not but this happened in Sweden. One day a friend got me out of there, she had found another job where I could stay. I still remember everything so clearly but I never understood what was wrong with me and why I acted that way, doing everything they asked. This video helped me put the puzzle pieces together in my brain, thank you. I've been thinking about reaching out to a therapist. I never really knew why I wanted because I didn't know what were my own thoughts. I completely changed after that experience and I feel like all my dreams have just washed away. They destroyed something inside me. I'm fighting myself from taking my own life everyday because I'm still guilty for leaving that place even if it's been a year. I can't explain it but my boss and the people around him were. something.

Wish i would have watched this review before watching the movie, i felt exactly the same way. People love it for some reason and I can't understand why. Its not awful but after watching it and waiting for everything to come together and make sense at the end, only for it to say its just a crazy cult thing! was really disappointing.

These movies aren't always supposed to have jump scares and constant killing. A24 Movies are special. They are for people who see the bigger picture and understand what makes a movie great. Its like a gritty drama hybrid that makes you cringe. And that's what makes their movies special. they're mysterious and sensitive.
Do yall believe this was her destiny? Her parents were seen at dani's crowning at the end of the scene.i feel like her sisters suicide and family death all were meant to happen to lead her here.
