The cast were so gorgeous.
I don't know what I'd do if I met this cast. There isn't a single person in this cast that I dislike I truly love their friendships as well. They aren't one of those casts that are really awkward together and the interviews are really dry because they are ONLY answering the questions and we don't see any banter or humour between them. I get lost in a YouTube spiral watching their interviews and it's a shame that Emma Watson and Meryl Streep are in zERO interviews I swear but I understand that they are busy. Love this cast too much.
Gerwig did an amazing job with the script, screenplay and directing! The actors are all phenomenal and the film is beautiful. The editing and transitions from past to present give it depth and the story is an emotional and realistic one. Love, coming of age, and societal pressures are all explored and this film adaptation would make Alcott so proud. Must see, go watch it now! Oscar worthy indeed.
I total understand director motive was making this movie and I respect it but now this treads goes on Hollywood will forget soon what it's like to make an original movie they will focus on this unnecessary remake which I'm never mean bad but just to make something original instead of overusing same thing.

3. I liked the way it developed Mr. Brooks and Meg's relationship.
Certain devices work well in books, but not movies and visa versa. In trying to be 100% faithful to the books we get flashbacks with characters we don't know and therefore don't care about. Ugh. I walked out after an hour of not caring - Save your time & money.
To people who comment about the video title: A rose by any other name would smell as sweet - Shakespeare.
The only reasons I gave it 5 stars instead of 1 are.
1. I don't think any movie should be rated less than 5 stars.

This is when she realized she messed up Jo did love him but she was scared they were bestfriends they should have been together I understand Amy loving him from the beginning but the love he has for Jo was so much different I feel like he settled for Amy rather than actually loved her the chemistry between him and Jo was so much more different thats my opinion though Jo didnt really love that man in the end she loved Laurie.

It's crazy watching this cause now she's married to another man and christy and todd aren't together she's married to someone else and they have a baby together wheew how life plays out in the end lol.
Other than that, I didn't like it at all. The 1994 version is soooooo much better. Wynona Ryder is perfect as Jo.
He's always so uncomfortable during interviews that makes me anxious for him the entire time.
