So based on some discussions that starts on this sub pretty often recently, I decided to make a few posts with the lists of anime people are interested in the most. So here it is the first one, please, feel free to update it, suggest other shows. Any suggestions are really welcome. 91 days - a revenge story about a guy who slowly kills those who killed his family A Certain Scientific Accelerator - overpowered MC, action, espers Afro Samurai - a revenge story about a guy who, I'd say, declined his hymanity in order to make his revenge thing happen basilisk - ninjas killing each other, basically; black cat - MC is an assassin; Black Lagoon - pirates. That's it, pirates. baccano - noncronological order of events, a bunch of bad guys riding a train, and immortality elixir; Charlotte - MC has a pretty cruel personality, especially in the later episodes; Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch - old but gold. This is a story about a person who achieve a power based on hypnosis, and use the power to overthrow the existing world order. Death Note - probably the most famous of the list, a story about a guy who found a notebook, which make a person whose name in it die. Dai Mahou Touge - dark comedy with female MC, or what will happen if you put an emotionally unstable mage princess in Japanese high school devilman: crybaby - to an extent, after becoming a "devilman", Akira's personality begins to change quite drastically; darker than black, - MC is an assassin, again Dorohedoro - no good guys at all, they all are bad guys with some kind of code. But all of them are loveable and well-developed. Plus amazing art style and music that'll get into your playlist. Drifters - tha same author as Hellsing. Blood baths, handsome man, badass action. Excel saga - a parody-comedy about a strange team who can't make their job properly, which results with a lot of casualties and destruction Gangsta. - a story about two guys who do shady things. It has this rare 'guilty pleasure' type of fanservice, which is hard to find - about slightly too professional gangsta warriors, guns, katanas, women - all you need from gangsta show Gantz - a story about what might happen in the after life. Hell girl - the MC literally ferries someone to Hell at the request of a person with a desire for revenge on said someone Hellsing Ultimate - if killing a few divisions of special forces because tthey offended you does not count as 'bad person', I don'tt even know what else to suggest Id:Invaded - MC's personality allows him to grieve for his family and talk his cellmate to commit suicide. Definitely far away from 'good guy' JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV) - all but the first Jojo are fawr away from being good guys Jormungand - a story about guns sellers, that's it. So it consists of weapons, armory, murders. Badass MCs, great soundtrack. Juuni Taisen - death battle, 12 characters and only one will survive. There are almost none of them who you might want to team up with. kami nomi zo shiru sekai - guy who is an expert at dating sims is forced to conquer girls in real life; Kuroshitsuji - another old one, a classic story about a count with a demon-butler majin tantei nougami neuro - a demon comes to our world to eat misteries and makes a highschool girl be a detective as a cover (passable anime but great manga); Overlord - not-your-typical-isekai, MC used to play a game, until one day the game didn't let him out. So he ended uo in another world, with magic, magical creatures, and tons of artifacts, armor, gold, and OP servants - any goods you can imagine. Pretty good start, don't you think? The anime itself is somewhere near R raiting, and it definitely does orth the watch. PET - Everyone in some way has been manipulated, causing them to do immoral deeds. Phantom: Requiem for the phantom - MC is a brainwashed assasin Samurai Champloo - choreography is top tier in this one. MCs are also far away from what you might want to call good. School days - the MC is cheating on everyone Shigurui - no good guys. Really. Just realistic medieval fucked up violence. Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san. - more of a light-hearted comedy, but neither Akutabe, Rinko, the demons nor the angels are good guys; Youjo Senki - another isekai, but here we have a 40 years old manager in the body of 12 years girl in the middle of the war. MC does not really care for anybody but himself, decline god's existance, kills a lot. Great action, strange-ish artstyle. vinland saga, - or at least what the anime has adapted so far - vikings doing viking things; Unlimited Psychic Squad - the leader of a criminal organization Zankyou no Terror - MCs are close to terrorists, they don't really choose the most harmless way to achieve their goals. Edit: updated the list with suggestions from comments. 40 shows so far, we are doing great.

You know, I never got farther than saying that there's definitely a mirror world and that the production errors were too numerous to be actual production errors. What you did here doesn't only give me confidence that I was right about that and to not discard the season as a wannabe action movie. It assured me that we haven't even scratched the surface of what's really happening. This is what I always held onto, that Nolan & Joy were creating a show that improves its own rewatchability to no end. What I'm trying to say is what you did here is incredible. You did as much research as the showrunners to create for us a clearer picture of what Nolan & Joy devised: A subset of events and occurrences that can only enhance the show for people like us, the ones trying to dig up a deeper truth, while also keeping it superficially comprehensible to the more casual viewers, which immediately reminds me of Ford's "deeper truth" comment on the Creation of Adam. The amount of digging you must have done feels daunting. We actually got a more streamlined season but at the same time they upped the level of cryptic storytelling of the actual story being told. They heard people call S2 confusing and they fucking doubled down while framing the whole thing as easily understood. Writing this comment, it almost makes me think I'm deluding myself and that I should listen to the voices of the ignorant. Your theory basically explains away all the things that a lot of people think were half-baked and inconsistent, it almost seems too perfect; too good to be true. But then I remember how they corrected Charlotte's bracelet being present and then absent by filming a shot of her putting her bracelet away. If they correct this and not all the other things that means that them correcting this one issue is proof of your theory at least being mostly true. If they notice a bracelet, they'd also definitely notice inconsistent wardrobes, missing barbed wire and all that other stuff. So I thank you for either clearing up the entire season for us or giving Nolan & Joy the way out of this mess. I confidently believe in the former and I hope your hard work will compel people to get off the hate train and embrace the deeper truth of this show. Yes we still had less deep dialogue and not enough runtime to give us those Ford levels of exposition but this entire theory improves the apparent quality of the season immensely for people looking for an answer to the question "Is what are we looking at even real? ".
