I think the female agent character in this movie represents the majority of the people that live in the United States. Completely oblivious and naive to a very toxic and dangerous culture that is the drug trade and the power of the mafia. To many people in Mexico this is a daily way of life. Of which, none of us here in the U.S. would truly know how to respond to if put in a situation like this.
