I love psychological thriller but this is not one of them is just bad ( trying my best to control myself and not saying any bad words.

Imo the movie was just pretentious and shallow. the monotone delivery of lines and martin especially made watching this movie so irritating. i didnt feel suspense at all and the score just adds to the pretentiousness.
The doctor seems shocked but doesn't confront the weird kid Martin. Then his son gets sick. Then his daughter. Then the doctor kidnaps Martin and hits him once or twice.
Nicole Kidman is looking so much more natural & normal now. A few years ago she had that super shiny frozen forehead thing going on.

This film honestly was very odd but addicting.
I didnt get the connection to God, I felt that Martin was a manifestation of Steven's guilty conscience: his inner demons materialised in Martin. It was a weird movie, but it definitely kept my mind turning and twisting throughout👍.

Their behavior is super forced and acted looks like a mexican telenovela or even worse because at least mexican telenovelas has action and drama.

The doctor has weird kids. The doctor also has a weird wife. The boy announces that he holds the doctor responsible for his fathers death and he has to kill a family member to redeem himself - otherwise everyone in the family will die.
Ah! They cut off at the best part of that scene where he says to Nicole I don't suppose you have any pubes I could have, by any chance? Oh, I forgot. You don't have any left. We don't have any of the things we need. So dramatic and weird.
