tbh I'm not a fan of the twist they tried to put on sherlock with the comedy. The bbc Sherlock series nailed the combination of humour, mystery and drama, I doubt this movie will. I understand why they tried it but I don't think diluting sherlock's intelligence for the sake of more comedy will be effective..
This movie will BOMB at Chrismass If someone force me to see this or the finale Grave stone on Star Wars Saga, Episode 9 i gonna watch Episode 9 with bleeding eyes...

Loved the movie.
I personally thought this movie was funny, as it’s not supposed to be a traditional Holmes and Watson film, but more of a parody. I believe one of the reasons it’s not doing well & why people are leaving halfway through is because it took a few jokes to a political & social level. I don’t believe they went too far in their jokes, but these days tensions are high & people get triggered easily. Overall I thought it was a good, funny movie that made me laugh several times & if you understand it’s supposed to be more of a parody film then I think you will enjoy it as well..

If you're upset about this, go watch The Strange Case of the End of Civilization as We Know It with John Cleese and Arthur Lowe as Holmes and Watson (well, sort of). It's on Youtube. It might cheer you up..

You guys just made me realize how much we need another Austin Powers film or series.
Cinemascore, the rating given by people surveyed leaving the movie, was a D+. No wonder they didn't want critics seeing this.
