It seems that we humans, born and raised on a watery planet, unconsciously try to protect our bodies with "water," just like animals who protect their body surfaces with mucus.  In a very dry season like now, the mucous membranes in the eyes, nasal passages, and throat begin to warn against dry air.  This dry air alone is a big burden on my old body, but the winds of February and March rain a large amount of cedar pollen on my workplace, causing my immune system to go out of control and torment me greatly.
