The $3.2 billion Studio City will open in Macau on Oct. 27. Melco Crown Entertainment, controlled by Lawrence Howe Leung and James Packer, will be opening casinos in markets that won't see the bottom for some time in the coming months due to its stellar success in the 14 months since its meteoric rise to the top of the gambling world.

Studio City features Asia's tallest Ferris wheel and offers a Hollywood theme. Through Gotham City's 40,000 square feet, visitors can enjoy indoor simulation environments, such as riding with Batman and interacting with DC Comics celebrities such as Bugs Bunny and Daffodil Duck. Melco Crown spent $70 million on promotional films made in real estate starring Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Brad Pitt. The movie was directed by Martin Scorsese.

Other attractions at the five-star hotel integrated casino resort include the magical house, the Pacha Macau nightclub, a 5,000-seat entertainment venue, and Studio 8, a 250-seat live TV studio.

Studio City's Boulevard offers more than 375,000 square feet (35,000 square meters) of retail space with street scenes from Hollywood's Beverly Hills and New York's Times Square. Dozens of bars, lounges, and restaurants, from Michelin-starred to fast-tracking bites, will cater to gourmet or gourmet needs.
