How was your Christmas?

I had a quiet happy time with my family. I used to give my daughters what they wanted while pretending to be Santa Claus. Last year, I didn't prepare anything for them, because they didn't believe in Santa Claus any more and they said they hadn't found what they wanted. However, it made them really disappointed and they often complained about it. This year, I gave them what I had chosen for the first time. A silver necklace for my oldest daughter, because somehow I thought 17-year-old girls were special and I gave her something memorable. She was delighted much more than I had expected and her brightened expression made me happy! On the other hand, it was difficult to find something for my youngest daughter, because she is picky. I finally chose a cute bag for her while hoping that she would go out a little bit more. However, she wasn't interested in the bag at all like I had been afraid... It can't be helped. I also gave a scarf to my husband. He wore it for a while, even though he was in our living room! I realized how enjoyable giving presents to my beloved family. Guess what I got? It was a heart-shaped necklace with...! My husband gave me a ring or a necklace every our wedding anniversary, two days before Christmas Eve. I know he wants to follow what his father did, because he clearly remembers his mother's face of pleasure. I can't tell him that I'm not interested in jewelry that much...
