Run for myself

The earthquake hit in the Tokyo area on Saturday. I was in a park with my daughter. Actually, we were crouching and playing in a sandbox. Suddenly I felt a strong quake from down to up, I recognized that this was an earthquake a short time later. After that I looked up and looked around to confirm whether our place was safy or not, then I held up my daughter and evacuated in the middle of the park. It kept on swinging for a while. I thought a big earthquake was coming at last. In the meantime, I received a call from my wife, who was in my house alone. Fortunately, I found she was safe.

The swinging ended. I paid much attention to an earthquake, another one didn't come. So I went back to my house, then I checked the news of the earthquake. I was so surprised at the news. Because the intensity of the earthquake in our area was only 3. I thought this earthquake was the biggest one I have ever experianced before. But it wasn't.

I changed the mood and I went to a summer festivel with my daughter. My wife drove us there. And my wife promised to pick us up when we would go home. Actually, we thought it was time to go home, then I tried to call my wife by my cell phone several times. But I couldn't reach her. Of course, I looked for a public telephone. But I couldn't. It couldn't be helped, so I walked back to my house with holding up my daughter. It was 30-minute-walk from there to my house. I sometimes took a break and carried my daughter on my shoulder. I'm not sure the reason why my call didn't reach. If it was due to the earthquake, cell phones aren't useful such an emergent situation.
