Charo tells Numtaka he doesn't know what he is living for,

but Numtaka says he envies Charo.

Long ago, Numtaka was a warrior of the birds.

He believed his wife had been killed in war.

As a reward for his strength on the battlefield,

he was given eternal life by the gods.

Fifty years later, Numtaka saw his wife again.

He was saddened that he couldn't grow old with her.

Numtaka tells Charo that to live is to have limited time to follow one's dreams.
