But now it does very little for me. Perhaps that’s because the tropes have become so overused, and for every story that gives them a novel twist, there are many that are just the same old. I also feel like I’m a voice in the wilderness.

I’ve never been a fan of vampires or werewolves, so I steer clear of anything involving them. However, there’s still a huge market so for those that love them, write away.

Thoughtless fantasy is definitely almost its own subgenre, books where very little care was put into anything and they all seem to be clones of each other, but on the other hand I cannot STAND how the existence of that subgenre seems to lead a lot of people to assume that it represents the entire fantasy genre. I was in a university class once where fantasy was upheld as the very standard of unrealistic characterization and juvenile, shallow morality because of stuff like that. It's upsetting to say the least.

I read books with all types werewolfs witches etc. For me its the teens romance book cover characters love triangle oh and another reason why this authors vampires can go out in the sunlight that has to be fair an old grouchy reader with no patience for teen/young adult an ancient creature love story.
