How much he or she has been respected comes true when pass away.
I was deeply recognized this principle this time.

Yesterday I attended funeral for the father of doctor who was one of my clients.
He was also medical doctor and has been one of leaders at doctors association at that district.
In spite of larger ceremony hall, a lot of attendants were obliged to wait outside the house, so that demonstrates how he has been respected by many people.

The chief mourner, the present director at clinic read out the will he had written for persons except for his family.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I cannot talk myself, however I would like to appreciate your kindness and courtesy a lot.”
“I hope you have good times in your life left for you.”
“I would like to see you as doctor at Heaven.”

Oh! We must realize how he had been respected by a lot of people.
I almost burst into tears.

Including his son, many medical doctors work medical activity earnestly and vigorously.
That must be his heritage.

He must enjoy sing his favorite numbers at Heaven.
We must express supreme honor.


人生を全うした時が、その人の人徳の集大成の時である。

あらためてその事を実感しました。

先日、元担当先の先生の御尊父様の告別式に参列してまいりました。
その方も医師で生前は当地区医師会の重鎮的存在でおられました。
比較的広い式場にも関わらず、入りきれない方々が外にあふれる位の参列者が訪れたことから、いかに生前の人望が厚かったかを表していました。

そして生前に記されたという、家族以外への遺言が喪主の現院長から読み上げられました。

「皆さま、今回は声が出なくて申し訳ないのですが、
本当にこれまでお世話になりました。
どうか残りの人生を精いっぱい過ごしてください。
そしていつかあの世で診察しましょう。」

何よりもお人柄が十二分に込められた言葉です。
思わず熱いものがこみ上げてきました。

この先生の大きなご遺産でしょう。
当地区では息子さんの現院長を始め、地域医療や患者治療に熱心にとりくんでおられる先生が多くおられます。

どうか天国ではお好きだった歌を思いっきり唄ってください！
