Listen, come here
The water says to those who are dirty, "Listen, come here, for my nature has partaken of the nature of God.I can accept all your foulnessand render even a demon pure as an angel. When I become filthy, I return to the Source of the source of purity. There I pull the filthy shirt off my head, and He bestows upon me a clean one once again.Such is His work, and my work is the same:the Sustainer of all created beings* beautifies the world.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ -- Mathnawi V:204-208Version by Camille and Kabir Helminski"Rumi: Jewels of Remembrance"Threshold Books, 1996(Persian transliteration courtesy of Yahy? Monastra)This poem reminded me of my old day. Even though you're a tolerance person, it is really hard to accept people’s evil and bad. So, this is my question; when can you actually become a person like this poem. This is something like motherly love to me. If people have this unconditional love to one another, the world maybe a better one. When people learn that the love can change ones’ attitude, we can become happy people.
