On Hometown Day, or Furusato Day in Japanese, of each month, Jonan Shinyo Bank gives away every visiting customer a particular specialty gift for free of charge. Customers visit for withdrawal, deposit, e.t.c. Today (18th) turns out to be November's Furusato Day. And the furusato / hometown specialty gift was Apple from Yamagata prefecture.

It's very early in the morning. I observe the long queue lined up in front of that bank. Surprisingly, NO housewives! Only elderly people (see photo). Wonder how the event information spreads word-of-mouth among them. Anyway. Quite effective silver marketing promotion virtually with NO media budget.
