11月祈りのお誘い Invitation to our circle of prayer in November
皆様：

「こころ」は月に一度、世界中の人が人種、宗教、国境を越え、東日本大震災の被災者の方々と共に祈る会です。
今月はＮＹ時間11月10日（木）午後10時＜日本時間11日（金）正午＞に一斉に祈りを捧げます。
どうか、お時間が合えば参加してください。 お時間が合わない方も、どうかこの日に共に祈りを捧げましょう。
尚、デイライトセイビングタイム終了のため、NYの時間帯が午後10時に変更となっております。日本時間は今まで通り正午です。

今回は、被災地から「こころ」宛に届いたお手紙を紹介したいと思います。

先日は、お祈りのお知らせをありがとうございました。
遠い異国の方々が、私たちのことを祈ってくださっているなんて、本当に嬉しく思いましたし大変励まされました。
生き残っただけでも恵まれていて、感謝をしなければなりません。
避難所から仮設に移り、少しずつですが復興も進んでいます。
でも、見えない未来への不安で、時折何とも言えない思いにかられます。
そんな時にこころのお祈りのことを知りました。
11日には私たちも祖父母と一緒にお祈りを致しました。
同じ時間に、世界の誰かが一緒に祈って下さっているのですね。
そう思うと、胸が熱くなり、涙が止まりませんでした。
これから東北は長い冬を迎えます。仮設は今でも冷えるので、寒い冬が心配です。
でも、こころのお祈りが寒い被災地を温かく包んでいくように思います。
これからもお知らせを転送して下さいね。毎月必ず参加します。

被災地からのお手紙は、「ありがとう」と結ばれていました。
震災後、手探りで始めた「こころ」。でも、被災地にはしっかりとその思いが伝わっているように思います。
これからも、皆の祈りと思いを届けていきたいと思います。

今月の「こころ」は、ＮＹ時間11月10日（木）午後10時＜日本時間11日（金）正午＞です。
亡くなられた方々のご冥福をお祈りすると共に、被災者の方々の心にそっと寄り添う時間を共に持ちませんか。

Dear All:

“Kokoro” holds a circle of prayer once every month with people from all over the world and people from the afflicted areas in Japan. On Thursday November 10th at 10pm New York time (Friday the 11th at 12:00 noon in Japan), we ask you to join us. Due to the end of Daylight Saving Time, prayer time in the US will be changed to 10pm.

“Kokoro” would like to share a letter we received from a person living in the afflicted area:

Thank you so much for the notice from “Kokoro.” We felt happy and encouraged to know that people living in different countries so far away are praying for us.
Luckily, we survived the disaster. We were able to move from an evacuation center to temporary housing. We also see, gradually, that reconstruction is starting.
However, every now and then, we get anxious of our future we cannot foresee. When we were in the depths of this feeling, we learned about Kokoro. On the 11th, we prayed with our grandparents. When we thought about other people from all over the world praying for us, at exactly the same time, we felt so warm. We could not stop crying. Winter is coming soon to Tohoku. Temporary housing is already cold, so we are a bit worried, but we know that the monthly prayer, “Kokoro,” will embrace us with love and warmth. Please send us the Kokoro notice every month. We will definitely participate in the circle of prayer.

The letter ended with “Arigato (Thank you).”
We began “Kokoro” immediately after the 3/11 quake, without knowing where it would be heading, or what its outcome would be. However, now that we know that the people in the afflicted areas know about our activity, and are standing behind it, we hope to continue sending our thoughts to the people out there.

This month, “Kokoro” will hold a prayer on Thursday November 10th at 10pm New York time (Friday 11th at noon, Japanese time).
