花見友紀の「鉄道のある日常」

東北地方太平洋沖地震は青森県から千葉県にかけての広い範囲に大津波を押し寄せ、海沿いの鉄道の多くが被災した。



千葉県銚子市を走る銚子電気鉄道線では、電車や線路に大きな被害はなかったものの、重要な収入源であるぬれ煎餅の工場が被災。現在は復旧したものの、計画停電や道路状況の悪化で生産・配送が不安定な状況にあるそうだ。

銚子電鉄は、鉄道事業で稼げない大部分の資金をぬれ煎餅による収入で賄っている収支構造となっているのは、鉄道ファンならご存知かと思われる。そのためぬれ煎餅が売れないということは、銚子電鉄にとっては最大の危機的状況なのである。

ふたたび銚子電鉄を元気付けるためには、やはり「電車に乗って、ぬれ煎餅を買う」というサポートが必要であり、僕達鉄道ファンが立ち上がらなくてはならないと思う。3月26日に行った「みんなの大鉄道展」でもぬれ煎餅を売っていた。被災したって知っていたら、買っていたのに!!と後悔…。


By the tsunami March 11 quake made, many railways in the seaside area were damaged.

Choshi Electric Railway, running along the shoreline in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, didn't get terrible damages, but the factory of "Nure-senbei" moist rice cracker, which is famous food in Choshi and the railway company started to make and sell to earn money for maintaining trains, was damaged. But now, the factory restored. However, because of the blackout rotation and the roadways in bad condition, making and shipping of the rice cracker are difficult and unstable.

Many railfans can know the sale of rice cracker is a major part of the railway company' income. So falling of the rice cracker's sales means the financial trouble of the company.

To encourage the railway, we, railfans, had better go travelling to Choshi with it and buy the rice cracker. At the sight of the "Great Railway Exhibition", the rice cracker was sold. If I had known the factory had been damaged, I would have bought it. I'm regretting...
