Pasadenaはアメリカ合衆国カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス郡に位置する都市で、ロサンゼルス北東に隣接する高級住宅街。カリフォルニア工科大学(Caltec)やジェット推進研究所、アートセンター・カレッジ・オブ・デザインなどの科学や芸術分野の教育研究機関の所在地としても知られる。アメリカンフットボールの大学リーグのローズボウルの開催地であり、またローズ・パレードでも有名。Caltecは「西のMIT」と称されるほどの有名大学。もちろん訪れた事が有ります。ローズボウル(Rose Bowl)は、パサデナのローズボウル・スタジアムで、毎年元日に行われるカレッジフットボールのボウル・ゲーム。CaltecRoses ParadePasadena is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of 2009, the estimated population of Pasadena is 143,667, making it the 168th-largest city in the United States. Pasadena is the seventh-largest city in Los Angeles County, and in 1886, became the first to be incorporated in Los Angeles County, largely as a ploy to get rid of its saloons.
