Do you know how much it would cost you to enter into a national university in 1976? It was the year I started my college life.I almost forgot how much it was until recently I bought an interesting book.

The book reminded me how lucky I was.(please see the picture.)


Annual tuition for me was 36,000 yen or 3,000 yen a month. The following year, the tuition was raised to 96,000 or 8,000 per month. It almost tirpled in a year.

In fact, I heard that unversity tuition is the item with highest inflation ratio duing the last 30 years.

And...do you know how much it cost you to join a national university now?

Close to 540,000 yen. Amazing!
