アメリカの新しい観光の目玉になっています。

Taking in the cerry blossoms at Washington's National Cherry Blossom Festival is becoming a popular way for Japanese to visit the United States.
Flights from Tokyo are packed at this time of year; tour groups promote U.S. blossom tours. One Japanese university even postponed the start of its semester to give students a chance to see the festival.
The fextival commemorates the March 27 planting of the first two cherry trees by First Lady Helen Taft and the wife of the Japanese ambassador in 1912.
