I watched a TV drama broadcasted on Fuji TV last night.
It was a story about the love between one Japanese couple, a husband and his wife, and their love had been torn apart by the last war for over 60 years.

They lived in China during the war and then the husband was unexpectedly arrested on suspicion of espionage by Rossiya. Of course, he was just a civilian, not a spy, but since then, he had been forced to work at a labor camp in Siberia.

As for his wife, she could manage to return to Japan with her 3-months baby.
She had believed that her husband would come back some day and that they could live a life all together. So she had kept waiting for him to return to her here in Japan for over 60 years.

And in this story, there was one more woman who played a very important role.
She was a Rossiyan woman, who had devoted herself to the man. Actually she had a sad experience in her past.

The man had been under the surveillance of KGB and never let return to Japan, so they began to live together there.

These 3 people were the sports of fortune. Their story shows us the tragedy of war.
And what amazed me most was that this was a true story and that these 3 people are still alive.

This story remains me of the very famous Italian film “I GIRASOLE” starring Sophia Loren. The Japanese title is “HIMAWARI”.
