Are you a type of person who say, "Keep the change" when you take a taxi?
I'm not. I've never used this phrase, and I think I won't. When I pay more money than the fare, I always receive the change even if it's small. I'm a housewife after all, and I know the importance of one yen to make ends meet. But my father, who died of kidney failure last spring, used to say to drivers, "It's just all right. Keep the change." Every time when I heard this phrase, I thought what a waste he did! He must have felt good through this behavior. Maybe he liked to show the world he was generous. Or he may have been generous really. I'm his daughter, but I can't behave like him. I think this behavior can be often applied to men, rather then women. What do you think?
