Tomorrow, February 24th, will be one year since Russia waged a war of aggression against Ukraine. Itdestroys infrastructure with missile strikes, destroyscivilian facilities and housing in hospitals and schools, genocides civilians, and the atrocities of theft andsexual violence by soldiers of the invasion force con-tinue unabated. Russia claims its dictator's selfish warof aggression is a conflict of political ideology, but Ukraine has defended itself well over the past year todefend its democracy. At the outset of the war, it waspredicted that Ukaraine would last no more than three days. I am filing daily news reports on the history of thiswar in chronological order. One file contains 10 to 12articles, both long and short, making up 81 files. I amcollecting articles not only on the reactions and re-sponses of neighboring countries. A certain characteristic can already be seen in thewords that have been made public by various people, not just politicians. Of course, there are clear differ-ences in the language and argumentation methods ofpoliticians in both countries. You will also know whothey are sending the words to. I am particularlyfascinated by the words and logic of dictators. Also, politicians and citizens who listen to it in silence arealso interested. Also, the world of 21st century is economically madeup of all kinds of distribution networks. Resources, raw materials, their production, processing, productsupplementation, and storage, product transportation, sales networks, buyer bases, money flows... are alluneven, not self-financed, and mutually beneficial, andthere are some cases that are quite one-sided, but it isnot a classic world image at all. A war between twocountries would quickly plunge the world economy intochaos and cause poverty and exhaustion for the peopleof each country. It's not a world where you can live with the classicimperialism that dictators envision. In fact, one aspectof economic globalization that makes political intrigueeasier cannot be overlooked. If the dictator still insistson imperialism, it can be said that it is for the enjoy-ment of the dictator's self-interest and murderousdesires disguised as national interests. This applies not only to the political economy, butalso to the cultural aspect. Frustrated by the hybridization of culture (althoughit can be rephrased as globalization), they may resortto extreme nationalism, or in the worst case, implementethnic cleansing measures, oppress and abuse them, and even kill them. ... I always say that there are no people in this worldwho are born of a pure ethnic culture. Culture is not objects outside the body. The individual's flesh itself, the individual's flesh and blood itself, is already culture. And it's not monoculture. Humans are bynature culturally global. When I see myself in my dailylife, there is no need to think again. I am Japanese, butculturally I am not pure Japanese. Rather, it would beimpossible to dig out "pure Japan" from me. And that is my pride. It is a reality as a world-educated person、as a modern earthling. Much can be learned from Russian's war of aggression against Ukraine. It is because that tens of thousands of people died in this war. It is said that there are 3 to 6 trillion cells in a single human being, but those delicate and irreplaceable living organisms are mercilessly extinguished. Tens of thousands of individual lives, human treasures, are murdered by a single tyrant and his/her followers. What is the "legitimacy" of this murderer who saysthat it is his own life that should be protected andthat the lives of others should be killed? No matterwhat the reasoning is, there is no justification. Tadami Yamada
