「ゴガク魔女」を目指して　～４児のママの懲りない実験～

27日は、区の家庭婦人クラブチームの会長杯という公式戦でした。
１回戦は30分足らずでストレート勝ちしました。
（私も、２セット目にバックライトで出してもらいました）

On Sunday I took part in the matches of an official tournament
which can be translated as
"Municipal Volleyball Association President's Cup",
which my team joined in the "married women's club teams"
category.

We won the first round match, by 2-0, in which
I appeared in the second set in the back-right position.
I was a little surprised that the game took
less than 30 minutes.


２回戦は、格としては区で２番目に強いとみなされ、
昨年10月の１部大会でも準優勝したTSクラブが相手で、
厳しいなと思っていたのですが・・・

うちのクラブが21－17（確か）、22－20で勝ちました！

The second round was against TS club, which is considered
the second-strongest club in our ward.
It was the finalist in the First Division tournament
last October as well.

I expected a tough game, but in reality our team TOPPED
the local powerhouse by 21-17 (I remember so), 22-20.


相手はライトのアタッカーとハーフセンターのレギュラー2人を欠いていた
とのことですが、うちも同じくライトのアタッカーの若い方がおめでたで、
ハーフセンの方もけがで出られない状況でした。

I later heard that the opponent lacked two regular players,
one the right-wing attacker and the other the
half-center player.
Yet we were even with the disadvantage,
as we also missed two in the counterpart positions,
one in her 30s who is expecting a baby
and the other got injury on the knee.


控えの私たちもアップゾーンで応援したのですが、
去年の11月に家庭婦人大会で優勝したときの決勝でEXクラブに勝った
ときより、もっとすばらしい試合でした。特にバック３人と、ハーフセンターの
方々がすばらしかったです。
I, together with the other reserve players, cheered
in the warming-up area. I was greatly impressed with
our team players' performance, particularly the
receivings of back and half-center players.

Our team played a spectacular game and
looked nicer than when we won the final match
against EX club in the "Married Women's
Matches" last November.


私たちは３月11日の（大会２日目の）準々決勝に出ます。
その前の３月４日には別の区立体育館で行われる６チームのトーナメントにも
出る予定です。その頃には本の原稿も書き終わっているといいんですが

We proceed to the quarterfinal on March 11.
Prior to that, we will join a six-team tournament
held in another municipal gymnasium on March 4.
Personally I hope I will have completed the book
manuscript by then!
