花見友紀の「鉄道のある日常」

穴水駅には、のと鉄道でかつて急行「のと恋路号」として活躍したNT800形気動車が展示保存されている。


At Anamizu Station an old train on Noto Railway NT800 Series used to run as "Noto Koiji" express between Nanao and former Suzu.



「のと恋路号」は2003（平成15）年まで七尾～珠洲間を走っていたのと鉄道の急行列車。運行開始当初は快速列車であったが、1991（平成3）年の七尾開業と同時に急行に格上げされた。

NT800形は「のと恋路号」用のハイグレード車両として1987（昭和62）年に落成、たった2両だけが製造された貴重な車両である。運用終了後は能登中島駅に保存されていたが、2010（平成22）年頃にここ穴水駅に移された。


"Noto Koiji" express had run until 2003. As starting its service the train had been a rapid service, and had become an express when Noto Railway had been extended to Nanao in 1991.

NT800 Series had been built only 2 carriages for "Noto Koiji" express in 1987. Since the abolishment of the section between Anamizu and Takojima in 2005 NT800 Series had been displayed at Noto-nakajima Station but moved there in 2010.







最初は外側からしか見られないのかと思ったが、七尾方の車両（NT802）のドアが開いており、車内は冷房が効いていた。実は休憩スペースとして開放されており、座席に座ることもできる（七尾方の車両のみ 穴水（旧珠洲）方の車両（NT801）は座席が撤去されている）。また、NT802号車のソファ席にはのと鉄道を題材にしたDVDが並べられ、コーヒーメーカーも置かれていた（この日はコーヒーメーカーがあいにく故障中だった）。

2005（平成17）年に廃線された穴水～蛸島間ありし頃を想像しながら、決して動くことがない車両の座席に座った。


At first I could see this train only from outside. However, one of its door on NT802, the carriage facing toward Nanao, was opening and its cooler working. It was used as the waiting space and people could sit on its seats (the seats in NT801, facing toward former Suzu, was removed). By the window of sofa area in NT802 some DVDs featuring Noto Railway were laid out and you could drink coffee for free (out of order on that day).

I sat on a seat, imagining the train and the railway farther from Anamizu had been in service.
