「inhabitant『住民』(538)とresident『住人』(539)の違いは何ですか?」 inhabitant = a person, or sometimes an animal, that lives in a particular place regularly, usually,or for a long period of time resident = a person who lives in a place, such asa house, hotel or particular area, all the time orjust while working, studying, or visiting inhabitant は 「ある土地に長く住み着く」ニュアンスが強いですね。
