1995年4月オクラホマ州で起こった(オクラホマシティ）連邦政府ビル爆破事件。
小さな子供から高齢者まで、多くの死傷者を出しました。
その事件に、オクラホマ州出身のCountry 歌手 Garth Brooks が郷里の人々への追悼と応援歌として歌った曲。
それが、この The Change です。
この曲については、このブログで、過去にも触れさせてもらっています。

被災者の皆様に、今　この曲を贈りたいと思います。
例え、今聞くことが出来なくとも･･･

どんなに困難に思える悲劇からでも、必ず復活できます。
大きな傷を力に変えて、現状から変わろう!!　という意志さえあれば・・・・
過去の歴史が証明しています。

それに、1人で立ち直らなければいけないのではありません。
1人1人の立ち直ろうという意志が必要にはなりますが･･･多くの人の助けが必ず得られるはずです。
決して、皆　1人ではないのです。
今はまだ、考えられないかもしれませんが・・・・

阪神淡路大震災の被害者の方々を始め、能登や新潟だって、大地震にあった日本の多くの地区の人々をはじめ、中国やフィリピン、アメリカやつい先日のニュージーランドの方々、津波被害にあったメキシコやタイだって・・・・心に大きな傷を抱えながらも、頑張っています。
そして今、それらの多くの人たちが、自分たちが当時感じた痛みを思い出し、また抜けきらない痛みをバネに、心からの救いの手や声を差し伸べてくれています。

被害にあっていない人たちもまた同様に･･･

落ちれば、また登ればいい・・・

転べば、また立ち上がればいい・・・

泣けば、また笑えばいい・・・

残念ながら･･･私には、力になれることはありません。
提供できる場所も、仕事もありません。
出来る事といえば、わずかばかりですが義援金への参加ぐらい。

私も、能登半島地震によって、見え出した光明をかき消されてしまいました・・・・
しかし、そこから立ち直るために行動しています。

気持ちを強く持って、一緒に頑張りましょう!
