What is Splashthat?
I have already written about free website builders. They are one of the most convenient ways to promote your work on the Internet. Among them some specialized in certain activities so intensely they are not even considered as website builders. One fine example is Splashthat (now renamed to simply Splash, but the URL is still the same). In essence, Splashthat is a promotional tool. It promotes all kinds of events. Indeed, it's officially called event management software. You can reach it from their website or through the application on the device of your choice.Think about a movie premiere. When the date of the premiere is set, you need to inform everybody about it. You also need to invite guests, a seat order, prepare tags for invitees, make lists of people with backstage passes, arrange invitees for dinner, the afterparty, and on and on and on. Somebody has to take care of the data related to the event, somebody about the design of the landing page, somebody about attendees with registrations, confirmations, cancellations, and follow-ups, and , not last and definitely not least, somebody has to synchronize all of them.Things can be even more complicated. Some of the attendees need room to spend the night, some have food allergies, some have special needs, ...And you still don't even have all the data for a flyer! You can, of course, set up a dedicated website for your movie premiere and announce what you already know and update or correct it when you get new information. But this still doesn't solve most of your other logistic problems. Not to mention that a new website couldn't compete with already established websites from related areas of interest where can people also get info about your movie and this info can be wrong, incomplete, or ... Well, you just don't have the control. Not to mention the lack of analytics!Wouldn't be nice to have a chance to promote an event with your brand, your design, your info, your absolute control over data, everything integrated with other services, with the ability to include your workers in writing, editing, checking, etc .? With real-time analytics to know how many people have already seen your promotion? Who they are? When did they arrive at the premiere? When did they leave?Slashthat offers exactly that and more.It is fully integrated with social media, communication, and webinar tools like e-mail, Facebook, Salesforce, Twitter, Vimeo, Zoom, etc. which gives you even more opportunities to make the most of your in-person, virtual, or hybrid event with all the marketing assets. With live stream, if you want. You set them once and use them for every new event as you wish. All these and much more without knowing how to code? And they have a free option as well!I decided to give it a try to see if it will help in promoting our new website, the next member of the Vintage Artists' Project. Our Shared Goal The idea is to use Splash's already-established brand to introduce a new one and amplify it as much as possible. Because this is an unprofitable no-budget project based on the enthusiasm of a few dedicated people, I have set up a free promotional webpage with the virtual event. In time, I will probably add more, maybe from other areas of our work and expertise as well.Sooner or later, I will probably bump into some kind of limitation but at the moment a free version offers all I need.See for yourself:Click here!A few more things:desktop, tablet, and mobile versions of your promo website are automatically created, but you can edit each one of them separately, edit doesn't have an UNDO option which means you should do backups when you decide to make an important change (auto backup is set on an hourly basis, and you can have a bunch of them),Splashthat is aware of the stages of your event(s), so you can manage and link them to offer the visitors of your promotional webpage(s) accurate info during each of the stages, your promotional webpage can be edited by a whole team of different experts on rule-based permissions, everything accessible through the team management tab,the free version has a lot of limitations, and it's not my intention to explore all of them, so this is up to you, because only you know what you need, there are numerous preset templates for different kinds of events and each one of them is highly customizable, which is also true for registration forms and registration pages, through the library in your account, you can manipulate all your logos, fonts, and colors related to your brand, with stylistic changes that are automatically applied for a series of your events if you want, with so many options for optimization and customization some of your desired settings will need a bit of a learning curve where Splash's customer support will give you a hand.
