I got my leg broken during a dance lesson, to be exact, during a stretching execise before the center lesson.
When we hear the word "stretch", we naturally think that we "stretch" our body to make it flexible. In other words, it's not easy for us to connect the word "stretch" to "fracture". Doctors are no exception. On that very day when I got my leg broken and was took to the hospital by ambulance, I explained to the doctors that I did a stretching execise and the accident happened. At first, the doctors never belived that I suffered a fracture on my leg. After I took X-ray, the picture clearly showed them my broken leg and then they accepted the fact. But it seemed still difficult for them to connect "stretch" to "fracture" because I was thought as osteoporosis (thin-bone) for my age. Every time I was asked the possiblity of osteoporosis, I denied it with confidence, telling them about my eating habit. "I eat fish, natto, etc." And at last the time had come to prove I was right. The operation proved that. It was originally planned for one and half hour. This was not so long as a surgery of fracture. But in fact, the surgery needed over 4 hours because my bones were so tough to bolt them! Now you knew, doctors, I was not osteoporosis! As for my husband, he had to wait for over 4 hours without knowing the reason, so he was worried very much during the surgery. But just after the operation, when he saw the doctor's bright face, he assured of the success of the surgery. And of course, I was relieved to know that! →学習仲間を探そう! お気に入りの記事を「いいね!」で応援しよう
