　昨日、休暇を利用してかねてネットで参加申し込みをしていた小
ツアーに出かけてきた。
　世界最長にして最高の主塔を持つ明石海峡大橋の観覧ツアーで
ある。

の申し込みをする。　さっきそのHPを覗いたら５月の募集はすで

　私は３月の末日に申し込んだのだが４月は２８日の午前の部がか

る注意点や専用ヘルメット、ベスト着用についての説明をうける。
　参加のみなさんは気分が昂揚しているのか落ち着かない。　着用
するものを写真のおさめたり、画面を撮影したり様々である。
　カメラはさすがにデジカメばかりである。　見学者用はブルー、
ツアーリーダーはオレンジ色で色別されている。　ちなみにベスト

ツアーの始まりだ。　橋の博物館の展示物を見ながらざっと説明を
受ける。　天井付近にあるシュミレーションに使われたという１０
０分の１サイズの明石海峡大橋の模型が圧巻だ。　ケーブルや巨大
なボルト等橋を支える部品など展示されている。　主塔下の台座の
ケーソンの設置操作ができる模型もある。
　博物館の外にでる。　神戸側アンカレッジ南側にある兵庫県が大
橋内設置した会場プロムナードを経て２階建ての橋の一階管理用ロ
ードを主塔まで約１ｋｍ歩く。　そこに立ったとき参加者の誰もが
たじろいでいるように見えた。　それもそのはず足下は網目状の鉄
が敷かれているのみである。　道路の歩道との間に道路上の排水を
