 The 2003 The Money Spider Roussanne exhibits classic rose petal-like aromas along with an oily, unctuous texture, medium body, plenty of honeysuckle, and a style reminiscent of a high class white Hermitage. It should drink well for 1-2 years.

素晴らしい濃密なルーサンヌですね。エルミタージュブランの様です。ユーカリ臭やオイル香があってドスの効いた白ワインです。完熟です。牛蒡に合います。

2004 D'Arenberg The Laughing Magpie Shiraz / Viognier

 One of the most successful offerings in d'Arenberg's portfolio is the impressive 2004 The Laughing Magpie Shiraz/Viognier (94% of the former and 6% of the latter). Not surprisingly, this is a flamboyant, exuberant, deep ruby/purple-colored effort exhibiting plenty of sweet blackberry and cassis intermixed with touches of marmalade and honeysuckle. Nearly over the top, it should drink well for 7-8 years.

透明感があって丁子・グローブ、ヨウド香がなくオージー臭くないワインです。素晴らしワインだと思います。

2003 D'Arenberg The Dead Arm Shiraz

 One of this estate's flagship wines, the 2003 The Dead Arm Shiraz appears to be better than the 2002. A deeper, richer, fuller-bodied offering that spent time in equal parts French and American oak, it possesses an opaque purple color, great intensity, and a fabulously sweet nose of blackberries, cassis, asphalt, earth, and oak. Powerful, super-concentrated, and obviously fashioned from low yields and old vines, this is a classic McLaren Vale old vine Shiraz that should age nicely for 15+ years.

流石スケール感の大きなワインです。まだまだ熟成するでしょう。凝縮感もラフィットクラスです。丁子・グローブ、ヨウド香がなくオージー臭くないワインです。

2002 D'Arenberg The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon

 A good value in Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep ruby/purple-colored 2002 High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon offers up scents of tobacco leaf, black currants, and subtle notes of old wood. This earthy, medium-bodied effort reveals good depth as well as a long finish. It should drink well for 5-7 years.

カベルネ特有の杉の香りは持っていますが、インク系は弱く、飲みやすいワインです。

完熟で今飲んで美味しいワインですね。澱も多いです。丁子・グローブ、ヨウド香がなくオージー臭くないワインです。

 A good value, the 2001 The Footbolt Shiraz is a plump, plum, blackberry, and currant-flavored effort displaying hints of smoke, earth, and pepper. It is a well-balanced, medium to full-bodied, delicious Shiraz to drink over the next 5-7 years.

程よいパワー感と熟成感があって、靄が晴れた透明感を感じます。シラーズらしいワインですが、丁子・グローブ、ヨウド香がなくオージー臭くないワインです。

2001 D'Arenberg D'Arry's Original Shiraz / Grenache

 A great value, the 2001 d'Arry's Original Shiraz/Grenache (equal parts of each) exhibits a dense ruby/purple color in addition to a sweet, peppery nose of kirsch liqueur, black currants, licorice, and earth. This richly fruity, nicely textured, plump, hedonistic red will provide immense pleasure over the next 5-6 years.

1998 D'Arenberg Ironstone Pressings (Grenache / Shiraz)

 The 1998 The Ironstone Pressings (70% Grenache, 20% Shiraz, and 10% Mourvedre) is a powerful, dense, thick, slightly monolithic effort with copious amounts of blackberry fruit, huge body, and the potential to evolve for two decades. Even though it had been in the bottle for some time when I tasted it, it was still unformed. With silky tannin, explosive richness, and potentially top-flight perfume, it will have many admirers after another six months of bottle age. It should last for 15 years.

かなり熟成感を感じます。グルナッシュらしさが良い感じで生きています。

1998 D'Arenberg The Noble Riesling

 This is a terrific bargain.

Outstanding is the 1998 The Noble Riesling. Honeyed citrus in an Auslese/Beerenauslese style is attractive, but as the wine sat in the glass some of Riesling's less favorable characteristics - paraffin and mothball scents - began to emerge. Drink this 1998 over the next 3-4 years.

これは本当に素晴らしいワインです。完熟の貴腐ワインですね。琥珀色の色も美しいし、香りも素晴らしいです。

この蔵は本当にお買い得だと思います。10年近く熟成して、初発の余計な澱が落ちて、靄が晴れて全て飲み頃でした。

熟成したオージーワインの素晴らしさを堪能出来ました。
