序数といえば、基数＋th　=　序数ということで、中学にて習ったはず。

基数は、英語で、cardinal number
序数は、ordinal number　です。

基数は、
zero　/　nought（英）
four と　forty　のスペリングに注意するくらいですか。

さて、
序数は、「～番目（の）」と、順序、順番を表す言葉で、基数に"th"を末尾につけて標記します。
"y"で終わる単語の場合は、"y"を"ie"に変えて"th"をつけます。

その他、注意すべきスペリングは以下ですか。

それでは、応用編として、分数の読み方の復習です。

英語の分数（fraction）は、基数（cardinal number）と序数（ordinal number）の組み合わせで表現し、
まず、分子（numerator）を基数、次に分母（denominator）を序数で表す。
（日本語は、分母分の分子の順なので、読みが逆になる。）

たとえば、２/３は、two thirds と表現され、分子が２以上になれば、分母は複数表記となる。

また、仮分数(improper fractions)（7/2）や、複雑な分数（123/456）の場合には、分子・分母ともに、基数を用い、その間に、over または by を入れて読む。

帯分数(mixed number/fraction)　たとえば、2と3/5、　2　と　5分の3　の読み方は、
2と分数の間に、andを使い、

"two and three fifths"

と読む。
