Kyougen / Ado
Since this anonymous singer made a debut, she keeps on making great strides forward. Her stage name Ado means supporting role of Japanese traditional performing art Kyougen, or farce presented between Noh plays. On Kyougen, the leading part is called Shite, and supporting role is called Ado.At first, I thought that this name came from Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing", but that was wrong. She has risen to stardom without revealing face. She declares that she wishes to be a cast to fight instead of her listeners and a great supporting role in someone's lives. In this album, several creators who usually write songs as Vocalloid producers wrote songs for Ado, But her place is not the starring singer. She solely devotes herself to a storyteller of each songs. -I imagine that this is expressed by "Motherland" the most. This song was used for a theme song of the latest Winter Olympic program by a commercial broadcasting station. Most of the songs used for special sports programs express glorious victory from the point of winners' view, but this song is losers' perceptive.Last year-end, she appeared on a Year-end special music program as a role of a singer who appears on a popular anime movie. But despite her wide range of performance, her debut song will stay synonymous with her.Her debut song became a social phenomenon since she placed her performance on a video site before her debut. This song expresses heart crying out under oppression; indignation against incomprehensible rules that is supposed as usual for members of society, and conventional calumny punishment awaits if they don't obey those rules. On the other hand, due to the foulmouthed lyrics and despising expression as if all the people are wrong other than her, some parents detest that they don't want children to listen this song. What about those adults? When they were young, they ardently admired rebellious antiestablishment songs by young singers, didn't they? Such as songs about a teenager boy who commits motorbike theft and under-age smoking and damaging building as he struggles against rules set by adults, and a young man with cantankerous mind like a knife who flashes out whether he is responsibility for conflicts with others. And older generation suppressed those youth, didn't they? -Well...it's been repeated in history that adults lament immoral arrogance of youth and youth defy adults but eventually grow up to control younger generation. There was a mass girls idol group that mainly performed songs expressing resistance to group pressure and adults' control. When the center singer was a high-school student, I saw her on TV talking that she hated everything about adults. I suppose she couldn't be unaware that she would grow up to become those adults eventually.Unfortunately, she left the group at age eighteen partly because she was fed up with stereotypical defamation like mentioned above, though. At the time when this album came, Ado explained that her driving force as an music artist is inferiority complex.Even after she succeeds as a singer, she says that she still dislikes herself and cannot have confidence in herself. However, most people have inferiority complex like hers to some extent, especially our nation who grow up under standardized education. There are people who succeed using inferiority complex as a springboard. At the same time, education and society in our state implant inferiority complex on people and make our nation ill-natured.◆:Ready to place summery if asked
