I watched a sidewalk cafe, busy with people, then waves to a couple driving behind on a scooter from my pumpkin carriage. As it was stopped, I hopped out and wandered streets with delight. I was to have returned the Embassy by the clock struck twelve.
Could you imagine how much I was surprised when I woke up in a completely strange room? Besides, there was a man! I hadn’t known about the new drug’s strong effect at all. It made me asleep on the street. Mr. Bradley was so kind as to bring me to his room, and then we had been there all night together! Anyway, I asked him what time it was. One thirty! I couldn’t believe my ears. Did I miss all my schedules in the morning? I had never done such a thing. I had done my duty perfectly until last night. However, it was no use worrying because I couldn’t turn back the clock. I thought, “It must be the gift from the God! I will enjoy myself here another couple of hours.
